Early humans communicated each other through signs for long time, before, their artistical instinct aided written communication by drawing lines, to count, drawing figures of animals & bovines, to name them and rock/cave paintings to communicate between individuals and between tribes, thus making arts and humans inseparable.
India has a long tradition of arts dating back to Indus valley civilization period and has a rich tradition of street arts as well.

Street art/mural may be the practice of painting in public and communal spaces to brighten the cities/ neighborhood, educate, make aware of people their cultural moorings, social events, revolutionary ideas, current affairs, politics, cinema hoarding, for that matter, any subject under the sun. Chennai’s cinema hoardings were a class by itself before it has been restricted by the courts.
Like India, many other countries also nurtured their street arts and as recently as 2017, Calgary commissioned a street art festival, BUMP, (https://yycbump.ca/) for transforming the city of Calgary and to make it an urban art gallery.
