Watching big land/ aquatic ( marine) animals in their natural habitat always be a thrilling experience to everyone. Few days back, the city of Vancouver, Canada and its Pacific coastline provided us that real life experience.

Environment created by the natural discharge of Fraser River from the snowclad Rocky Mountain into the Pacific Ocean near the city of Vancouver is the ideal place for watching the big marine animals. A 4-5 hours ride into the Georgia Strait and Haro Strait from Granville Island near the city of Vancouver on a rainy day was so memorable that we could watch Gray Whales ( 40- 50' in length), Killer/ Orca whales((16-20') which always move in groups (Pod) , North Sealions, Seals and Bald eagles in their natural habitat. Conspicuously missing in this environment is the biggest marine animal on the earth , the blue whale( 90-100'), for watching them one may have to travel down to the California coast in the US.

On the way back from Whistler, one of the towns hosted the Vancouver 2010 winter Olympics, a train wreck trail ( ஒத்தயடி பாதை tour) inside the Woods ended up in watching a black bear in its natural habitat.

Sight of the glimpses of the fag end of the Cherry blossoms in Vancouver made us to think what would have been the beauty/scenery, had we visited the Cherry blossom season at the peak time (two weeks delay)
